Experience

Writing has been a huge part of every position I’ve held, from shift manager at a video store to technical writer at a web services start-up company. Managers asked me to draft communications to customers, and executives requested that I review documents, checking for errors. Teammates asked me to provide written step by step guides for work processes, and I obliged. As the in-house English major, I was consistently tapped for my writing expertise. After years of writing on the job, I launched my own freelance writing services, built on practical experience and formal education, with an incredibly wide range:

I’ve also studied web design, both inside and outside of academia. I’ve built numerous web sites, and although I am not a professional web developer, I do offer comprehensive web site reviews, which can include proofreading written content.

About Me

Although writing comes quite naturally to me, I consistently work at expanding my knowledge and increasing my value, because the best writing is born of a marriage between inherent talent and learned skill.

I grew up a voracious reader, and evolved into a writer, crafting words into poems and stories. Later, I became an academic writer, then a business writer, a technical writer, web writer, and finally a blogger and freelance writer. I also toil with fiction and have a couple of novels in development. In addition to writing, I enjoy proofreading, editing, and helping others hone drafts into polished, final works.
